Langara Fishing Adventures began as an idea, hatched by a group of friends wanting what all anglers want – a better place to fish.
In the 1970′s and 80′s, British Columbia’s Campbell River and River’s Inlet were well known destinations for salmon fishing. Back then, the remote Queen Charlotte Islands (now Haida Gwaii) were virtually unknown to even the most well-travelled angler. Its isolated location kept it undiscovered by the sport fishing community, but tales were told of a fishery here that was more abundant than any other on the West Coast.
Fuelled by an adventurous spirit, this group of friends hatched a plan to venture north to these remote waters, and took a chance on a small island named Langara.
